git-nostr-sign

Sign Git commits with your Nostr key.
Distributed via Nostr + Blossom. No npm registry. No central authority.

Install

curl -fsSL https://nostr-svrn.codeberg.page/install.sh | sh

Requires Node.js 18+. The script installs CLI tools under your home directory.

Configure Git signing

git-nostr-setup

Interactive wizard: identity, Amber (NIP-46) or local nsec, and git signing settings. Already set up? git-nostr-sign config-git --local or --global refreshes Git from saved config.

Updates

git-nostr-update --check

Checks relays for a newer kind 1063 release signed by this site’s publisher key.

Health check

git-nostr-sign doctor

Prints tool paths, signing mode, and Git config consistency (alias: status).
